On March 16, we have planned a field trip for all middle school students to attend the Arts and Science Museum in Macon to complete our study of the planets in the planetarium (note: children under 3 will not be allowed inside the planetarium). We will leave the center at 9:30 am. The tour will start at 10:00am and end after 2:30pm. For this reason, we are asking parents to attend, if possible. If you are not able to attend, please know that we will be returning to the center approximately 3:30pm.
Fredrina and I will cover the admission cost of our enrolled middle schoolers. Parents are encouraged to bring siblings, friends, or guest, to participate in this educational field trip. Parents are responsible for the cost of themselves and any other guest they bring. The admission cost is $5 for children 3-17 and $10 for adults 18+. During the tour students will be required to stay with the group until dismissed from class.
Once the tour is over, students can be released to their parents to remain at the museum and continue to explore, or return to the center with Mr. Bobby for pick up.
Lunches:
Because we are on a field trip, sack lunches will be required and please keep in mind that the students WILL NOT have access to a microwave for heating up food. There is not a snack shop available. Lunch will take place at 10:30am and will end at 11:00am.
Please let us know first, if your middle schooler will be allowed to attend this field trip. Secondly, if you will be attending. Thirdly, let us know how many guest you will be bring, do not including your student that attend classes with Slaton’s Manor Worldschoolers.
